I got an ms25 drive. Downloaded xtreme bootmaker and created a bootable startrup disk with all the required files and xtreme 42b firmware. I have the Syba Sy-via-150 Pci Sata, VIA VT6421L chipset card. I also have a Dell optiplex Gx 270 computer. I found out there's no way to disable raid on this particular bios. However I am given the option to set up the sata ports as "auto" or "off" I tried both methods before loading to dos and using mtkflash. Okay now here's the problem. Xtreme bootmaker made the edited mtkflash for me using my card's io values VIA VT6421 RAID Controller. I then disable every other device except for my floppy drive. I then run the following two commands "mtkflash r/m orig.bin" or "mtkflash r/m /sata orig.bin but before i hit "enter" i turn on my xbox 360 (and attach the sata cable to the drive) and doesn't detect any drives! It doesn't detect my sata card or drive. At one point I was given a choice of what numbered drive I wanted as to the "xtreme boot drive" or something like that and another ide drive, but at the time I had the hardrive attached but disabled. And when I think I have something right it just says "1fo master/slave" and it freezes. I then press the esc key and I will get the following: "Status 01 err user break" In the device manager under the scsi controller tab I see the following:
I been going at this for two days now and I am starting to pull my hair. My eyes are all dry from reading through almost all the search results for similair solutions . I got this info from MSinfo32.exe hope someone can shed some light on this for me. Please!

I'll be honest. I didn't read all of the this post, but I know the mtkflash has to be hex edited to work with card with VIA VT6421L chipset. I have one if you need it. PM me with your email.
thanks alot for your help. You did send me that edited mtkflash, but it wasn't specific for my pc. I got everything working fine now. I managed to fix and it was easy to flash.
