Is this booktype essential for the modded xbox 360 to read backups? The reason I ask is because I have my Verbatim DVD+R DL but I dont think my DVD burner supports this. I havent tried it yet, but no need in wasting a blank if it wont work.

You must have the Samsung Drive. But to ensure it works, try to booktype to DVD-ROM.
