Can a 2.5 PSP be downgraded? To a 1.5?

Got a potential seller in my neighbourhood.

I want me Devhook back :(

if it's not a ta-082 then you can downgrade it. do you know how to check for a ta-082 motherboard.

No, I don't..

Also, the guy I'm buying it from updated it awhile ago, so that means it was originially a 2.0 or earlier. Is there even a possiblity a model that old could be a TA-082? Also, if it is a TA-082, and I can't downgrade, is the process of modding it to run Devhook still pretty simple?

if it was a 2.0 before and you're positive about this, there is NO way its a ta-082. ill ink you to the page to check anyway.

You mind linkin me up to a guide that simplifies downgrading? Note: I still have my 1GB memory stick from my old PSP with Devhook on it...what would I do with that?

since its 2.5 you will need to upgrade to 2.71 before the downgrade. do you know how to install updates?

still has to upgrade tho. download the 2.71 update eboot from psp-hacks.com go to downloads - firmware - and then updates. Once you the eboot you need to place it in X:\PSP\GAME\UPDATE, replace X with the drive letter your psp is assigned. The update can be ran from the XMB by going to Game and then Memory Stick.
