Hi guys,
I know you will be sick of hearing the same questions asked but i've done that much reading on different forums the last few days that i'm now confused a bit,I have now got a 2.60 psp and i want to be able to play iso's cso's etc. now the questions.what is the best firmware to use do i need to use 1.50 or can i upgrade to 2.71 and use that? or do you recommend upgrading to 2.71 and then down to 1.50?.i'm fine with doing all this as theres plenty of help with devhook and downgrading and i can source the software no probs i just want to know what would be the best route to take and which will give me the most.

Hey thank's for the speedy reply i take it what your saying is that it is better to downgrade to 1.50 rather then use 2.71?,I take it that 1.50 is easier to work with when it comes to homebrew and devhook?,sorry for all these questions but ive just paid £180 for a giga pack with 2 games and really want to be sure before i go ahead,i dont fancy an expensive paper weight.

yeah 1.5 is the best for devhook and homebrew.

yeah with 2.71 u will have to keep useing hen-c to emulate 1.50 then back up wich will get anoying.but with 1.5 u already done and u can even use 2.71 se

Thank's very much guys this site has helped me a whole deal and i now feel ready to do this and this is my plan please feel free to say if im going to do it wrong:
Ive got hold of Dark Alex's 2.50/2.60ENfull easy downgrader to 1.50,is it ok to use this or should i update to 2.71 first?,then i plan to use DevHook 0.51 with emulation for 2.71,2.81,2.82,3.01,3.02 or can i just load it with the latest 3.02 and that should cover all games?,I have no problems with the process of doing all this i just would like to know i'm going in the right direction,Cheer's.

well with the 2.5/2.6 downgrader you need the unpatched 2.0 gta lbc game wich not many people have thats why we just advice people to use the 2.71 downgrader
and like i said make sure u dont have a TA-082 or you will brick your system
and dont worry about devhook yet dont wanna get to ahead of your self:)

ok cool, i do have a copy of gta lbc version ULES-00151,as far as i'm aware this is the right game,but if you say that 2.71 does not need to use any game then i might do it that way i presume the both have the same amount of risk factor,thank's also for the offer of personal help not many guy's would do that for a newbie so big up man!,cheers.

I forgot to say that i had a look in the umd drive and could not see any numbers at all so i presume i'm good to go?
