TMPGENC HELP having compatability problems

i have read alot of the guides and followed them exactlly to a t, and changed them a little to fit my needs and when i convert it i have no problem playing them on my computer but for the life of me i cant play them on standalone im using virtualdub to extract audio to wav from avi im using tmpgenc to encode to dvd mpeg2 compliant format to ntsc and using nero, fireburner, and some others as some suggest and they play fine on my puter but not on my home dvd, it says either non compatable disk or it just spins for 30 sec then says no disk, im using fujifilm dvd+r/+rw on a plextor px-504a burner and trying to play on rca rc5215p home player it says itll play cd-rw,dvd+or-r/rw so i dont have a problem there maybe its the way im burning it i tried to used the VIDEO_TS folder option or just the image way and it dont work either way would some1 please help im bout to rip my hair out then gouge out my eyes im so frustrated ive been over these forums hundreds of times and still cant get it to work
