hey guys,

i'm a noob, i've searched around and alot of the information seems to be outdated.

i just got a ps2 from my brother after he got a ps3 :-(
anywho, the ps2 has a modchip (which he got couple months back)

i have an external hard drive 60 gigs and a 300 gig just laying around.
someone told me that i can "save" all my games on the hard drives and play them on my playstation via usb port (i have the slim ps2)

------------------------------------

can someone please tell me how this can be done?

thanks in advance

steph

yes, you can use the External hard drive.
What you need is a set of discs called USB Extreme.
this will allow you to load games on the hard drive and play them from there. Being USB it will be about the same load times as using a disc, but will save both the discs and the laser.

Then if you have some extra cash (about $60) then you can
convert your slimline to a little fat model with a new case called
an HD Combo case
http://www.hdcombo.com/hdcombo_spec.htm
with that it will allow you to install an internal hard drive
which would increase your load times. And you use a set of discs called HD Loader with an internal, that is unless by some chance the modchip you have is a DMS4 Pro which has built in hard drive software with ToxicOS

since you have a modchip you can most likely
find them at a torrent site.
check your PM's

USB dives have awfull speeds for loading games as the ps2 only has usb 1.1 on top of that there is a very bad compatability ratio
