3. On your psp go to "settings" then "USB connection"
4. Extract or Uncompress the file "25 to 271 hack.rar" to the root of your memory stick (you will need WinRAR to uncompress this file).
The root of your memory card is the immediate folder when you click on your memory card.
It may be a good time to copy any games to your psp at this time too.
Create a folder called ISO under the root directory. Copy any games you have to this folder. The games should have .ISO extentions or .CSO
5. Unplug PSP from computer, then on the screen of your PSP go to "GAME" then "PSP update ver 2.71"
Click whatever it ask,just follow the update instructions
6. REMOVE ANY UMD GAMES IN YOUR PSP!
On psp: go to "photo", "Hend" the machine should show you a blue screen then reboot. Be patient, if it does not work, try it again.
7. Once the psp reboots go to "Game", "Memory Stick","Dev Hook Launcher/vSHEX Mod" and run
8. PSP will reboot and Devhook will start, Use these settings
UMD SELECT : this is your game eg.NHL07.cso It should be copied to the ISO folder of your memory card. see step 4
firmware : 2.71 , NOT the nandflash
clock : 222/111
thumbnail mode : enable
Auto DISC ID : enable
MORE OPTIONS>>>>UMD SFO VERSION : 2.xx to 2.00
REMOTE CTRL : remote controller
preload address : 0x98200000 or 0x89200000
autorun : disable
screenshots : disabled
ADD-ON MENU>>>>>XMB SCREENSHOT : enable
HEN(2.71 only) : enable
FINALY Press on start in the devhook menu.
9. Once the psp reboots, insert and UMD Game disc.
10. Go to "game" and "UDM" HOLD the "Home" button down for a few seconds, you should see your game now.
Use the round analog thumb pad to select your game, and "x" to run.
If the "Home" button doesn't work try the "Home" and "L" button at the same time.
If this still doesn't work go to "GAME", "memory stick","devhook reconfigure" PSP will reboot, you should get a black screen ,
select "Toggle UDM disc and ISO/CSO mode". PSP will reboot again,
now AGAIN go to "GAME", "memory stick","devhook reconfigure" PSP will reboot.you should get a black screen ,
select "Toggle UDM disc and ISO/CSO mode".
It will reboot again. Now try this part again, Go to "game" and "UDM" HOLD the "Home" button down for a few seconds, you should see your game now. use the round analog thumb pad to select your game, and "x" to run.
I know there is a guide done, BUT this one is MUCH faster, everything is in one file and it has solutions for possible problems that can happen.
It took me several days to get mine working with the other guide.
