are your discs scratched , there is nothing to it really.. also open the program first then insert the game dvd this gives it time to load

no this is not possible at current but who knows what redline may add in the future or not the case may be ... i think the focus should stay on the next gen consoles :)

I had won a bid for the drive all ready done on ebay but it has been removed so have now ordered the drive from else where for less just need the firmware.

A Light Bulb has just lit above my head I think I may know where it is (Xbins) I havent used it for years and nearly forgot about it

Ok All I have a question - I got the samsung drive and got the firmware from the team underdog website. Now the first step seems fine but step 2 confuses me - i don't have nme chip - just a flashed 360 drive - do I need to do this step? Is this tutorial missing something or does it work perfect - any advice would be appreciated.

Hey gamester and backup - do you guys use this method when making backups?:

Create Image:

- Download Schtrom by clicking here.
- start Schtrom
- insert XBox-360 game into the Samsung SH-D16x drive
- in the first pulldownmenu select your Samsung drive (TSSTcorp....)
- below enter the path where you want to save the image to.
- let the TASK field stay at default: whole disc (stealth xtreme 3.0)
- click EXTRACT using your left mousebutton
- reading the complete game takes less than 10 minutes.
- Schtrom creates a file called IMAGE1.000 and a file called IMAGE1.dvd
- the IMAGE1.000 file is our complete image.
- no need to take care of the Securitysector here because Schtrom extracts it in one go and saves it within your IMAGE1.000 file.

You have successfully created an XTreme Image. Now proceed with STEP 2 to finally make it compatible to the NME-360 Chip.


STEP2: Convert XTreme Image to NME-Format

If you have downloaded your backup from the internet then it is in most cases an XTreme Image if not stated different.
In case the download is stated as NME-compatible then skip step 2 and proceed with step 3.

- open the NME aSSociat0r (download here) - .net Framework 2.0 required which you can download here.
- click the CONVERT Tab
- select the XTreme iso (IMAGE1.000 if created by yourself using schtrom)
- hit the big CONVERT button
- after 2 seconds the image file is fully converted to NME-format.
- the image must now be exactly 7.705.657.344 Bytes of size. (in KB it is 7.525.056)


(the above tut is from the team underdog website -did anyone actually use this tut and it worked? Like I said I just have a flashed drive not an nme chip.

Hey guys thanks for all your help - nice to see that everyone is willing to help their fellow gamer!!

Looks like I thought I had purchased the drive but an email from the vendor said they were out of stock - I live in the US and it seems the drive is hard to find. i am going to check ebay and see what they have as well.

But thanks for getting me the firmware and the links to tutorials - now I have everything I need except the drive!! Well I will keep looking to find one but if someone knows a source please let me know.
