Get the Pro pack. Core system is pretty useless. I wish i could check the last link but the site doesnt work for me.
Xbox 360 will need system updates to be downloaded once in a while. As to why X360 is better than PS3, i would say because its one year old, it has plenty of very good games and seriously, Xbox Live is just too good. And its cheap too. Silver subscription is free but doesnt allow you to play online and the Gold subscription comes $50 which allows you to play online.
The initial reviews for PS3 has been bad. Agree to that but even the Xbox 360 was thrashed in the beginning. Given me the choice between these two (and from the plenty of reviews i have read about PS3) i would either choose both or Xbox 360. For sure.

Personally i would go with the 2 wireless controller offer but i guess it depends on you. If you like those 2 games and will playing alone almost all of the time then buy that one. Otherwise get the 2 wireless controller offer, get ur buddy and play some co-op!

There's 2 XBox360 packages, the green box core ($299usd) and the white box premium($399usd). The core is pretty crappy, you get just the XBox, a wired controller, and just a standard hookup (no HD), the only good news is that if you do buy the core, you're not completely screwed as you can still buy all of those things later, so it's good for the gamer on a budget without a HD TV (if you want to get on live you'll need an ethernet cable and a memory card though). The premium package is really the way to go if you can afford it, you get a wireless controller, headset, Hard Drive (so no need for memory card unless you're going to a friends place), HD component hookups (and regular as well), an ethernet cable, and one month on Live gold, well worth the extra $100usd in my opinion.
I'm not a big fan of the bundles you posted, mainly because the games are kind of old (but still good). You can probably create your own bundle for maybe a little more than those but with much newer games. Also, if you get wireless controller (which rock by the way) make sure to get a quickcharge kit, otherwise you'll be going through batteries left and right, it's well worth the $20.

the bundle with the two wireless controllers i just relize the store is in usa not the store i thought it was :/
so should i buy the futureshop one that is 499.99 or the other one that is 399.99? cuz the core i can buy my own games and stuff but that would waste to much of my time. and the other one(499.99) is all there.
and do i have to get certain TV to use the xbox 360? i asked this question before but havnt gotten the answer
thx alot!

Its best if u have a HDTV because according to many people there is a huge difference between High Definition and Standard Definition gaming.

You can't connect the old contollers because they haven't got the same connection. And Halo 1 will work even without the backwards compatibility update.

You can't play games online with the silver membership. That's just for downloading stuff. You'll need the gold membership if you want to play online.

HD is NOT better? You need to get a better HDTV!!!!!! I had my xBox set to a non HD setting and it didn't look too much better than a PS2 (not because of the xBox 360, but because of composite input) ... I switched it to 1080i and WOW - HUGE difference on an HDTV. My buddy has a regular TV, a 36" sony, and it looks ok on his, but its 100% better on my HDTV at 1080i!!! If you're getting next gen, use it with what it was made for - HD, next Gen - LCD, etc ... it makes a HUGE difference - a noticable difference when you see them side by side
The BryanNH_2 formerly known as BryanNH - Thanks ... Get over your lack of power and get your head outta your arses - power in a forum is NOT any sort of power
