So, good or bad idea?

never pay duh it's illegal to for online movie rentals and purchases here are some links movielink.com, cinemanow.com, amazon.com also has them now. for bittorrent links for free go to mininova.org you will need Azureus or bitcomet some bittorrent client.

I am 43 years old and not a know it all or I wouldn't be as you, coming to afterdawn for advice. You asked if there was a legal subscirption service where you could rent/buy movies to download and burn to0 dvd, there isn't. Why? becuase it's illegal, ok so who does? the only other service currently available for downloading legal, quality content to download and burn to dvd is Cinemanow.com. Well is there any other form of legal download for purchase? Why yes, however you can not burn them to disk and they come with DRM. Do Tell what services are those? Well the range in quality and file format from Itunes, Movielink, DivX, GreenCine, Amazon and soon to launch Walmart. That is the totallity of services available in the U.S. I have hear of some experimental beta services from the BBC however they are not available in the U.S. and as such I don't know the limitations. Why Gee, Thank you for such an amazing and thorough list of ideas, links and websites.

dont see why mike cant understand this, elliot pointed out in his first post some sites, and only one with limited selection being legal

unless mike is refering to non mainstream movies (eg porn) then there is a plethora of sites :)
