ive just upgraded and its friggen awsome. you guys should do it. i gotta admit though i as scared because i did read from the another forum and it sounds like someone bricked or something with blank screens, but other than that i got through. really easy. dark_alex is friggen awsome. a god of psps.

Haven't tried it yet, I'll check now. EDIT: I tried clicking on the Locationfree player and it doesn't let me enter. i.e the icon doesn't function. Thats what I expected of Dark_Alex, unlike every other release where you would get a BSoD :)

I have a questin does this help people with a 2.80-2.81 or are they still screawed?....is this just like 2.71se....but on 3.02...thats great!!but if i do upgrade to this hacked firmware can i ever return to my 1.5?...i know theres no 3.02 downgrader...but it hacked??
does this let you run homebrew without having to emulate 1.5?...i rlly wanna try it just for fun though..is this safe to use?

No this doesn't help people with 2.80 or 2.81 or any other higher firmware at all. This is just like 2.71 SE except its with 3.02 and the location free player doesn't work. Plus there are some other cool features like making your PSP region free, so you can play any UMD movie or video!
And yes, after installing this you can reflash 1.5 if you want to. This is not like the actual firmware 3.02 because its a hacked version so homebrew and therefore a reflasher can be run.

oo wished they'd make something for them so the'll stop asking for downgraders...im just gunna follow your guide...thanks for the help...another questin if i have like edidet fonts and stuff...will that caues a brick..sorry if noobish questin but dont wanna brick my psp..

BTW This wont work if your PSP has a TA-082 motherboard. Also, you can only install it if you have firmware 1.5 or 2.71 SE.
I dont think having custom fonts will cause a brick, but I recommend that you set everything to defaults (including the fonts) when you upgrade to 3.02 OE-A.

oo i know that i have 1.5...and btw that day with the 3.00 downgrader was not me it was my brother..just have to tell you so you dont look down on me in any way....so to install homebrew on this firmware i just follow directions of a 1.5 homebrew installments?? sorry about so many questins..

When you have upgraded to firmware 3.02 OE-A, put your homebrew in X:\PSP\GAME150\ (where X is the drive letter of your PSP).
And yes, I saw the other thread where you explained that it was your brother who was saying he made a downgrader.

The PS3 is no longer needed. But for us to get the games, someone else has to download it from the PlayStation Store on their PS3 and transfer it to their PSP and then send it to us.

On a side not has anyone tried this with blitz:overtime. If that game still isn't working im gonna stay at 1.5 and dh .46 so I can play. Blitz is t3h pwn4g3

as long as youve got your isos or csos in the ISO folder in your root it should appear under the games menu. from there you can just play it.

When you play a MP3 press Triangle and there is an icon to turn on the visualisations.
