when I try to install any apps from my providor, cingular... I get an error.. " Authentication Failed: Application not Installed."

I found this technical manual for development of java apps for the v220, and it says, "JAR signed, certificate path
validated but signature verification
fails
JAD rejected, JAR installation will not be allowed. The following error
prompt will be shown, ?Authentication Error. Application not
installed.?

anyone have any ideas what this is?? or how to fix it? i tried to install mobile im and myspace mobile on my phone. It's odd, because mobile IM had been installed before, but I deleted it, now I can't reinstall it or anything else.
