I have swap magic v3.6 and the flip top case. I also downloaded DVD Decrypter and i understand how to use iso read and write. but when i got to use all of this, this is what happens.
1.i insert swap magic
2.it loads screen (load program and video mode) i use dvd rom swapmagic with dvd rom games and i have tried both normal and NTSC formats.
3. i press eject and it says insert bigger toc then refresh toc
i have tried every combination i can think of to get the bigger toc.
it loads and says insert your own program disk.
4.I use flip top to change to my backup and it goes blank, black screen for a second then it says no data then "inserta playstation or a playstation 2 format disk.

I cant get my backups to work!!! why??? i have a dell with a 16X buner. i dont know what kind but it says
[0:2:0] TSST corp DVD+-RW TS-H553A ihave tried sony DVD-R, fuji film DVD+R, fuji film DVD+RW, phillips DVD+R and a couple others all with the same result. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why are you trying to refresh the TOC? You only need to do that if the game you're trying to load is bigger than Swap Magic's 4.35Gb limit for booting games.
The correct way to boot is;
1. Load Swap Magic
2. Use fliptop to swap over SM disc for the backup
3. Press X to boot backup.

Those Sony DVD-R should of worked fine, but I'd advise to stay away from those other brands, and there's no point trying RW discs as (i) Your PS2 would only have a 0.001% chance of reading them & (ii) Even if it can read them, it won't do your laser any good.

Maybe the fliptop isn't installed correctly and the PS2 knows when the Lid is open. Therefore it knows you're exchanging for a backup

Ok I finally fixed the problem. I had to modify my flip top so the game would spin without a slite rub. It slowed it down just enough for the laser not to work. If you have this problem try this.
