Hi there everyone, hope everyone is having a great x-mas so far, quick question! - I bought my son a psp for x-mas and well he knows! he has been downloading ISO files for it in preparation! he is 14 and very excited in getting started, to tell you the truth i am also :) he is a lucky little guy since his mom works in IT for the past 10 years, and i am very into all this gaming stuff, we have xbox games all loaded from multiple iso's which is really fun for the kids! but now i have a new toy which needs , as i read all these forums, some patients and knowledge of firmware and loading emulators and such! so can someone please take the time and explain what i would need to load these iso's onto the psp i have wrapped under the tree for the little guy? for example , list of possible emulators and firmware they run off of ? are there any firmware out there that this is not possible? which directorys they go in when installed? typical questions that you guys probably know without hesitation? it would be much appreciated, Hopeing everyone a prosperous and healthy X-mas and New Year !
Elaine :)

That's perfectly fine! I'll tell you everything you need to know when you find out. Just incase you don't know how to find out which version it is, follow these instructions.
When you turn on your PSP, you'll see many things. (Video, Music, Photos, ect.) Go all the way to the left, and go down to system settings and hit "x". Go down until you see System Information and hit "x" again. System Software should be in the middle, it also tells you your software version. Mine is 3.02 OE-A :D!

Do you know if it's a TA-802? The way you check is if you open your disk tray and look in the upper right, if you see IC1003 then you have a TA-802.

Damn, if you got a TA-802, you're ALMOST s.o.l But, there's the Devhook for 2.71. Look for the easy installer. I would, but I am not going to be on at all due to x-mas.
