Well, I'm going to update to 3.02 OE-A becuase of high demand of course. So much stuff I want to do with that thing, so I go to pspupdates, and I'm going to get the 3.02 OE-A and devhook .51 installer and I come across this:

"One thing to note that if not installed properly or if you have installed custom files to our flash in the past, there is a chance that you might brick your PSP so please make sure you are aware of the proper procedure and any requirements before trying this."

Well, I flashed my PSP a while ago for the WLAN switch between 1.5 and 2.71 firmwares and I'm scared this might become a brick for me. Any help ?

Huh? What did you have flashed before? Was it Harleyg's custom firmware?

Its highly unlikely that flashing custom files and then updating to 3.02 OE-A will cause a brick. This is because the 3.02 OE-A installer does a logical format of your flash0 so whatever was on there previously doesn't matter.

yeah it was harley g's custom firmware.

thanks for the help eternalis, im gonna go try now.

EDIT: stupid, but I should get rid of all of my devhook .51 stuff now while installing 3.02 OE-A and devhook .51 now, correct?
