It worked here. Did you use the Samsung with Kreon Firmware?

i have the samsung sc 182 with kreon .81 and am using schtrom 3.0
i have backed up many, many games with it and this is the only one that will not work. it tells me that there is no valid xbox game in the drive. the same with xbox backup creator.

i do you get the settings to stay what you put them at. when i pull up the setting menu in schtrom 3.0 the default drive is the ts-h943a
when i change it to the sc-d162c it wont stay on that drive. i have even tried the custom drive settings and that doesnt work. it keeps telling me that there is no valid xbox game in the drive.

I am having the exact same errors as everyone else when trying to use Xbox Backup Creator or Schtrom 360Xtract with my kreon .81 drive.

I have tried following and reading some of the links posted here before but am unsure exactly which one needs to be followed.

As people seem to have gotten this game to copy successfully I was wondering if they could either explain exactly how to do this or provide a direct link to a tutorial on the process required?

Thanks for all the help After Dawners.

1. start xbox backup creator and go into tools and click on unlock drive. You should notice a increase in the dvd size
2. read the dvd, but select from current poisition.
3. extract ss.bin and other files
4. use ssMerger and merge ss and other files into the iso
5. use clonecd and burn

Sorry, this is from memory. hopes this helps!

cheers

Thanks, will give it a go tomorrow and let you know how it goes.

I don't have SSMerger and can't seem to find anywhere to download it. Can anybody point me in the right direction?

Well I managed to get a copy of SS Merger.

I then followed modster instructions and it is working fine.

Thanks so much for the help.

I hope this is a one off game as whilst we can still back them up it is a little annoying to have to do the extra steps.

you will run into other games that will have the same backup issue like star trek. You can use this same method to copy other games.

cheers

This is the only one I have heard of, although that probably means there will be others down the line. As long as we all stay one step ahead in being able to get around this kind of thing we will be fine.
