DBOX Question - Please Help!!!

Can someone please help. I have a Nokia DBOX2, but it has a german image on it and I cannot receive any UK channels.
The image on is a Yadi image version 2.1.0.7 (Sep 2005)
Where can get a UK image from? And which one do I need? I am confused about Enigma/Sporster? Also, I have read about also needing a bouquet/service file. Is this file included in the UK image file? Where can I get it from?
Please, if someone can PM me with the details I would be very grateful. Would love to get this thing working for xmas!
Also, I dont have a cross-0ver cable but I have a null modem cable. Can I use this with FTP? Is the procedure the same?

Thats the problem when you buy boxes from germany. Most are selling boxes with german images.
Look on ebay.uk item: 190065591555 It seams that this are the right boxes for UK.

it's not a problem, it only takes 2 minutes to change the image.

Hi
I managed to flash the dbox2 with a UK image, and everything seems to be working okay. I used a sportster 1.7+ image.
But, a few channels seem to intermittently get interference and picture breaks up. Some channels are fine, others are quite bad. What is causing this?
Also, on some movie channels, it asks to enter a PIN number. Is there a default pin to use?

is that the image you downloaded from my web site, if so the adult channels are protected (as I have young children) - The pin is 1111

Hi mate it`s not that i want to download anything as i`ve said we have a starview and the miss has decided she wants to get rid of it(crap epg) and wants a nokia dbox2 so i need info. Best one, best place to get one ect ect

Best off buying one from a reputable seller on ebay (check feedback)...sooner rather than later as the price appears to be increasing all the time. Make sure you get a dbox2 not dbox1, that it's already in debug mode (less work for you), and preferably that it's already flashed with Neutrino and in the English language. Then you should be good to go..

I'm afraid I can't comment on the dreambox or anything else, as I don't have experience with them, all I can say is the dbox2 does exactly what it says on the tin.. Go for it. The rate the prices are increasing it'll be an investment if nothing else ;)
