My buddy just got a 2.71 and i wanted to downgrade it for him, but when I read how to's I see you need GTA so my question is,
Is There and EASY downgrader for 2.71 that doesn't require GTA?

Make sure that it's not a TA-082 motherboard by looking in the corner of the umd drive for the code IC1003,look round the forum for more info and pic's.

you sures its not a 2.6? i think only 2.6 needed gta:lcs? 2.71 never needed gta?...but if its a 2.6 upgrade to 2.71 and use that downgrader..

you have to plug in your psp through usb and then run the downgrader..

ooo make sure aint TA-082....lol so you went to picture and it shut off and did nothing thats normal you have to keep trying it..until it goes red...makes sure the ac is plugged in...

its not a ta-082 and i have got the red screen to come Once but noticed that the memory card light never blinked, when it restarted it was still 2.71. I have followed the video just like it says, so don't understand why its not working. I'm trying to get his to 3.020E-A like mine for his sons Xmas gift but having no luck here..
anything?

should i remove the umd game disck before try all this?
i can understand why its not taking to.
I've got the red screen up like 5 times i tryed 2 different memory sticks.. please anything new i can try?

yeah the umd should be taking out of the drive....that dont work then im not sure try redownloading the file...then try reformating again and that dont work then i suggest putting it down for like 5 minutes then retry again..

Thanks I got it after Like 150 trys for real it took like an hour to get it to work.
My buddy is happy tho he left with 3.02 OE-A which is easy even for kids his 9year son will like, its better than trying to teach him how to use Dev Hook,LOL
