Today is the first day I'm testing out my backups. I have sh-d162c flashed with v0.81 and a dvd burner which supports bitsetting. I used schtrom v3.1 to extract .dvd and 000 file. I loaded up .dvd file in clone cd and burned using verbatim DVD+R DL. When it was done, I confirmed it was DVD-ROM booktype and that it was around 6GB. I put it in my xbox360 and it gave me "this disc is unreadable" error. It tells me to clean off my disc. There is no scratches on my disc but I clean it anyway. I reinsert and same error occurs. Original plays fine but backup is giving problems. I'm gonna try using backup creator and see if it makes a difference.

the disk should b 7.05 gb not 6. that could be your problem. did you use the xtreme3.0 mode to rip the disk?

It is 7.05GB, I was just throwin the 6GB figure out there. I did reextract using backup creator and it did work using clone cd the second time. I'm gonna try another backup for another game and use the schtrom again. If it doesn't work, i'll just stick to backup creator but i heard that the schtrom was a little better.

Again getting same error with schtrom. Why does it work with xbox backup creator but not with schtrom? I'm using latest versions for both. It is clear that xbox backup creator is just a better program and for some reason, even though they both make images of 7.05gb along with the .dvd file, backup creator does something different which makes it better. I am really curious what that 'something' really is.
