Hi there - hoping someone can help. We have a slimline PS2 with an infinity v1.38 installed. We've just found that it won't recognise PS1 games or PS2 games that are on cd instead of dvd, ie son just got brand new Donald Duck Pk game for Christmas (genuine) and it won't recognise the disc. I did see a website earlier in the year that told me how to disable and reset the chip, but am unable to find it now. Any advice will be much appreciated :)

maybe the cd part of the laser is dead? when the MI was installed was a laser fix performed?

you have to disable the modchip and enable to play copied games and to play originals unless yours is a autoboot (matrix infinity green dot).

If you dont know if it is open the ps2 and check for a green dot in the corner or check if its a fake chip go to the matrix website

If its fake then buy a new one if not check the solder points and if the solder points are ok check if its a green dot
