You seem to be 'haha'ing a bit too much, but that does suck. I like my 360, but it's pretty bad when they've got consoles out on the shelves that don't work from the get-go.

Same here. When i got my Xbox 360 it gave me a System Error E67 (Harddrive failure). I went and replaced it for a brand new right there. Had to wait for like an hour...but worth it.

try removing the hard drive
let me explain for some reason new premium xbox 360's hav had issues with hard drives
gamestop has had to open every 360 they get in and test them to make sure they work because of the issues with the hard drive

My kids openend their 360 Pro from Santa this morning. Artifacts like crazy, unusable for NHL2K7 and Call of Duty 3. Marvel Unlimited is playable, but a lot of the same problems.
It goes in for a return tomorrow, but I find it impossible to believe Microsoft wouldn't catch this during even a cursory testing. All involved are pretty disappointed. We ended up having an N64 tournament today instead.
Hope the next one works...

Yes buy the premium. The core system is pretty useless unless u r short on cash and wld like to expand into a full premium setup afterwards.
I bought it from a local store and i dont think we both in the same place, lol.
