share what you like or dont. if you need help with getting it going ask.
i like it alot, its nice to be able to stream all my media to my psp w/o using duo space. its cool looking at the ps3 xmb on the psp, its almost like a psp2..aha. also, i like sending messages thru the psn thru the psp. overall i like the direction its going.
But they all do sort of the same thing, and that is rearrange what you thought was real, and they remind you of the beauty of very simple things. You forget, because youre so busy going from a to z, that theres 24 letters in between... You turn on... tune in... and you drop out...

first you want to set up remote play settings in the network settings of your ps3. enter in the information required to have the ps3 makes its own network, and it becomes an acccess point. then you have to set up your own internet connection on your psp and name it, i called it Remote Play. enter in the ssid of your ps3's wan and all the other required info. after that, select remote play from the ps3 and let it wait. then slect it on your psp and use the recently made connection to pick up off the ps3. and thats it! now you can listen to music, view videos, view pictures, and use the browser (though the psp has one already so i dont know why). its all a video being sent to your psp, stream processed and compressed by the cell.
a few little need-to-know things:
home button allows you to set the respose time. a higher number means faster loads but less quality, and vise-versa for a low number. the home button also allows you to use the "ps button" from the psp.

Hey guys, I'm not sure if this problem has happened to anyone else other than me. I can't seem to find any information regarding it. Anyways I got the updates and set up the network settings matching both systems. However everytime I start the remote play on the PS3 it goes black and stays that way for as long as I don't restart the system. I've seen multiple videos showing the tv going black when people start the ps3 remote play but then it goes to a screen asking to connect the PSP, my system doesnt seem to want to do that.
I have PS3 60 gigs so I have the wireless network.. I've also been able to wirelessly connect to my internet router so no problems there.
I was thinking that maybe it was the fact that my PS3 was hard wired to the router and is unable to do multiple connections so I disabled the internet connection, still the same problem.
I am confident that the problem comes from the PS3 and not the PSP as it can easily connect wirelessly to the router as well as other PSP systems.
Now I think i need to format the ps3 and download the updates again but I really do not want to do that, so if someone else has found a way to fix this or at the very least have had this problem please let me know and if i should just format ps3. Thanks guys.

Ok,
I have my remote play working (I think)
My TV says "remote Play in progress" and on my PSP I see the XMB! I can move threw the XMB side to side, but I can't move up and down in the tabs, exept for the friends tab and Network tab, those work!
Is this how it is supose to be?

You must have WiFi for remote play to work! Soon if you are connected to the internet with any PS3 via ethernet or WiFi you will be able to connect to any wireless router (ANY where as long as the PS3 is on and connected to the internet) and use remote play! Sony is working on this right now as we speek!

Aznelite....
I duplicated the problem you are having. When using HDMI whenever I activated my Remote Play the PS 3 would seem to lock and othe only recovery would be a power down just like you said. I never received the "connect" message as indicated by other posters on this forum. I still had the S-Video cable handy from my PS2 so I hooked up to my TV with that and it worked like a champ!!! I once noticed that when I turned off my TV during a download it seemed to freeze up the PS3. Seems like there is some interaction with HDMI and the PS 3 going on....
Anyway I took the time to register with this forum and reply because everybody here seemed willing to help out and I respect that deeply. There were other sites were people were getting flamed for asking about this. If anyone else can maybe delve into this a little deeper we can figure out what's happening?
