HELP! I can't play Isos on my brand new PSP :(

Guys, I need help bad. I just bought a brand new PSP for Xmas, but I'm about to whip this this thing against the wall! It's not a TA-082 and it came with the firmware 2.71. I've looked at guides, tutorials, searched forums, and everything under the sun. I found a few guides, but none of them were difinitive and nothing has worked so far. I mean, how do you install an app that is nothing but files? One guide got me close (I believe I was using Devhook to emulate firmware 1.5), but when I went to actually load, it said I needed at least firmware 2.60. Can someone PLEASE either tell me EXACTLY what tools I need, tell me exactly what I need to do, or point me to a complete newb tutorial for people who bought a PSP with 2.71 installed by default. Also, can I do all this without an actual UMD in my PSP? Thanks guys in advance!

so its 2.71 non TA-082? this should be downgraded then upgraded to OE-B :)

OK well how exactly do I do that and what exactly what I need. I tried one downgrade to 1.5 guide and it bricked my PSP.
