...okay, I have custom firmware 2.71 SE-B and there's a problem: I didn't put it on my PSP, it was on there when I bought it--so the memory stick with the appropriate files is gone, as well. I can't update to play any new games and have no idea what to put on my PSP to get it to play these games properly. I try to update to play and I get "THE GAME CANNOT BE STARTED (DADADA)." The problem is I don't have a big memstick (only the 32MB) and no cash for a new one. Anyone have any suggestions?

Just MP_Root and PSP. Look, I'm not really interested in the whole homebrew scene--is there anyway I can just upgrade to the latest normal FW so I don't have to deal with **** like this?

Are the new games you have on umd? If so rather than wasting your firmware buy updating higher. go to pspupdates.com and download 3.02 oe-b edition. that will support your games which you want to load up. It also includes all of the latest features. I think there is an easy version made specifically for people without a lot of know-how whe it comes to PSPs and homebrew. I think that your 32mb card should be enough to run the update. Devhook is quite a large file and oe-b is much more efficient.

This is great, but don't I have to downgrade to get it to work correctly? Could someone please walk me through how to properly downgrade a 2.71 SE-B PSP?
