Yeah it is safe.

Just cos its not stickied doesn't mean its not safe :)

Also, as long as something doesn't touch your PSP's flash, then its safe.

However, somethings like DevHook write to your PSPs flash but are still safe.

I'm sorry, I don't really know all about my psp, so I'm wondering what my psp's flash is.

The PSP's flash is the place where the firmware is stored. Some programs like DevHook write configfiles to flash.

However, if a program deletes or corrupts any important firmware files in your flash, your PSP wont boot and it will be what we call a brick.

Thanks, one last question from me, if I somehow brick my psp, can I BS sony and somehow get them to send me a new one or fix it because I still have my warranty on it.

You can always say, "I was upgrading my PSP and the power went out, now my PSP won't turn on".

This is true because when upgrading your PSP you need to plug your PSP into a A/C..people have reported bricks while the power went out when they were upgrading...:)

Yeah you do.

The updater doesn't let you proceed unless you have the AC adapter plugged in.

That guide doesn't tell you how to downgrade. It tells you how to emulate firmware 1.5 and run homebrew on your firmware 2.71 PSP.

So you will have to run HENC each time you reset your PSP if you want to run homebrew.
