Updated to 3.02 oe-b from 2.71, now nothing loads!

I have been trying to get iso's to load from memory stick on a PSP which originally started off with 2.71 firmware. I read up on some forums around the place and thought everything was going fine, had DevHook working and all but it still wouldn't load my iso's, so I tried some more firmwares, thought 3.02 oe a/b would be the best so I went through the instructions for that, but now I am left with a heap of files on memory card, and nothing at all will boot up, not even a UMD. It sits on the PSP screen for about 20 seconds then shuts down...
What can I do? I have heaps of firmware files, can I just chuck them in the game or game150 folder and load it?
I just tried that with the 2.71 se firmwares but no go. I'll try the normal 2.71 US firmware now.. but if anyone can see what could be wrong I would appreciate some input.

You upgraded to 3.02 oe from 2.71? Or did you upgrade from 2.71 SE?
If you upgraded from 2.71, that was a bad idea. You're only supposed to upgrade to 3.02 OE from 1.5 or 2.71 SE.
Your PSP is probably bricked...

It was stuck in firmware 1.5 and still not reading iso's after running devhook .051, but it may be the iso that was the problem, I'll have to download another to try. So yeah, it was in 1.5 when i went up to 3.02 oe -a, then -b. It's just not running any game files, the rest of the system is working, so what do you think I should do now to get it back to 1.5 or 2.71?

No problem.
BTW Did you put your homebrew in X:\PSP\GAME150\ (where X is the drive letter of your PSP)? Because you need to put them in there to run them in 3.02 OE.

It's not homebrew though, just a UMD rip of SF Alpha, so it has and .iso file and .cso file. I just moved it into the game150 folder now and it isnt visible under memory card anymore. How can I get out of 3.02 oe b?!!! There's a 'flasher for recovery' folder but that dosnt show in the games list, so I cant run it.
...still nothing loading... this is really frustrating!

You're not supposed to put the ISO in the GAME150 folder!
You put the ISO in X:\ISO\ (where X is the drive letter of your PSP).

Yeah I know, but you said 'did you put your homebrew in game150/ folder..' so I just tried moving my iso into that folder to see if it would work. I'm clutching at straws here.
OK, I am in the recovery mode of 3.02 oe-b, I'll run the recovery eboot file and see if it reverts back to 1.5...

That wont work.
You'll have to download the firmware 1.5 EBOOT.PBP, rename it to UPDATE.PBP and put it into X:\PSP\GAME\RECOVERY\ first.

Yeah your right, I've done it and it is now back to 1.5 and reading UMD again.
Well I'm glad I didn't brick it, that would be totally weetarded.
Do you think I should just upgrade now to 2.71 se C ?

OK will do that now. Should I download and use the normal 3.02 firmware or do you think I may as well use the 3.02 OE I already have? As I freaked out the first attempt of 3.02 OE install I'm wondering if I should stick strickly to your instructions...!

If you upgrade to the normal 3.02 firmware you will never be able to use homebrew again, DO NOT DO THAT! Custom firmware is different than normal firmware.
You will not be able to downgrade or play homebrew for a very long time.

Should I use that file or Dark Alex's version (3.02 OE-a)

Followed your guide Eternalis, devhook works, but after I make my changes (UMD select - ISO - game.iso) and then select 'run devhook', instead of rebooting it just shuts down. Why is it not working for me!???
Do I need to add the 150.PBP and 302.PBP files to there respective '05' and '302' folders in parent folder 'dh'?
Shouldnt this be in your guide?

bro you gotta tell me whats up, I followed your guide and it left me pretty much no better off than before. Does your guide really end at '6. Now go to START DEVHOOK and it will work! '
Or is the reader supposed to pick up from another point in the 'manual install'???
I tried this, going to step 8, and selecting 'Flash Install - install config file to flash1:' in DevHook, but still it WONT REBOOT, it just shuts down. Something is missing here, I think it isnt booting to 3.02 because the 'auto installer' didnt add them as you would think it would, so I'm guessing I need to add 150.PBP and 302.PBP to there respective folders, but I dont wanna screw it up again so am waiting 'patiently' for a reply !!!

OK I think I'm getting there...!
Figured that I had copied the wrong EBOOT.PBP file into the Root and so the 302 Firmware Installer (for DevHook) hadnt actually installed anything, so now that is on, my iso is being detected in Firmware 3.02 in the Game - UMD and the game pic shows with music which is good, but I still have the problem of not booting. It goes to load and pauses on the PSP screen for about 10 secs, then shuts down [EDIT: Just did it again but this time the PSP screen faded away to black and it froze there instead, without shutting down, progress?]. Would it be a Bad iso? Bad Install? Who knows? I'll try my SF Alpha iso again...
This is so dam frustrating I tell ya.
