my psp is devhook 1.50 but if i download a game and put it on the ISO folder the game dont work the screen just goes black...i was told to get 0.51 because it is better...but why..does anyone have the instructions to get 0.51 and if i get it can i download any new or old game froom a torrent site and use utorrent to download it will it work.....thanxxx and which is better

o.k so your psp is a fw 1.5 and your wanting to play all the new games that have come out.

get devhook 0.51 from here http://www.psp-hacks.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=58369

there is a nice guide for you plus it also has a guide to upgrading to the new 3.02 OE custom firmware which if you dont like it you can go back to 1.5

i truely suggest u to leave the headace of using devhook for a time being and go update to 3.02OE-A(and then to B)[nyways it all upto u]!!!advantages r like u dont have to emulate any fireware to play new games and yes u can play any games downloaded from torrents(untill unless they r not bad ones)!!!
now back to ur problem-yes u can use devhook 0.51.0100 to play ANY leatest games (downloaded from torrent or dumped from umd doesnt matter)!!!!!!o
ofcourse 3.02OE-a is easy and better then devhook.51
try 3.02OE-A and tell me does it work or not!!!!!
dnt worry cause u can get back to 1.5 any thime u want!!!!!
and plse do these stuff carefully and try reading lots of tutorial and guides to make sure wat u r doin and dont brick!!!!!!

you can load some games without a umd in the drive with 2.71 se but not all. i played gta vcs but not really anything else

go find the devhook download ur self plse!!and abt how to install,u'll get a readme with the devhook downloaded files so read it u'll know how to do all the stuff!!!and then if u think u dont understand the readme file then ask!!!i'll try to help!i used devhook .46(with easy installer) one it was easy !!!but not sure devhook .51 is easy or not!!!(i never tried it)

Thanx ppl but im confused...i dont kno what to do...shall i get 0.51 or 3.020E-B or 3.020E-A.............i already have 1.50 which when i bought from pakistan it had need for speed carbon on it and def jam fight for ny the takeover....so i dont kno what to do cuz my mane problem is that i dowloaded a game frm a torrent site and used utorrent to download it but wen i put the game in the ISO folder and turn my psp on the game dont work the screen goes black so people if you kno what to do can u help me please.......thanxxxxxxx

Ok. It's impossible to play a game from the ISO folder with just a 1.5 PSP and the iso itself. The PSP isn't gonna look in the ISO folder for a game right away.

There's no such Devhook version of 1.50. I don't really understand what your situation is...

What you want is to either have Devhook .51 or get 3.02 OE-A in order to play games that are in the ISO folder.

Umm Devhook shouldn't brick your PSP because (if you used the all-in-one Eboot install method) it doesn't do anything to the PSP's flash. It only emulates the firmware.

Installing 3.02 OE means you gotta install it on the PSP's flash.
