My external hard drive doesn't want to work with my PS2!

I have an external Western Digital hard drive. Here's a picture:

Anyway, I'm able to get into USB Extreme, and I see my games. But as I start my game, it just shows a black screen. I've even waited an hour before.

some games are not compatable with the HDD,,yes they show the game there but they will not play,,there is a list in this forum that show what games you can put on the harddrive,,,cheers
