A - always fast-read
B - always slow-read
C - dual speed, default is fast
D - dual speed, default is slow

Use good verbs and good burner? Use a or c. Use crap media? Use b or d.

@ bhetrick,

most member at afterdawn told me to use Xtreme5b.bin because it reads the backup dvd much faster. TRUE?

so, if I update to Xtreme5.1 which one should I use?
A - always fast-read
B - always slow-read
C - dual speed, default is fast
D - dual speed, default is slow

What is dual speed? which should I use C or D?

thanks!

cheers

Xtreme 5b is "slow" read.

Dual speed will let you switch from default speed (c is fast & d is slow) to it's opposite by using an original game disc without reflashing the firmware.

I.E... Got x5.1c installed but one of your backups seem to be skipping... just use an original game disc to switch it into slow read mode (as per the instructions in the read-me) and then try that backup again.
