Hi, Ive just purchased a nokia DVB 2000 d box and havent got a clue how to work it, cant scan channels etc. The guy i bought it from cant help me. Can any one give me brief details on what to do to get cable channels. Any help would be really appreciated. Cheers.

is this the original DBox or DBox2 - if its the original DBox then to be honest its should go in the bin.

Dont know mate. Bought it from ebay. Just says Multimedia terminal DVB by nokia on front flap and DBOX on right hand side on front.

Yeah I got caught with one of those too. So far I havn't been able to find any software to make it useable so just bit the bullet and ordered a dbox2 instead.

Whilst this thread is open, if anyone knows what else is needed on a dbox1 with dvb2000 already loaded, please chip in with what else is needed.

a word to warning to people here, when you see such boxes advertised on EBay and they state Nokia DVB2000 these are the original DBox and not worth anything.

It is confusing as both the I and II boxes are referred to as dBox.

any chance of taking a picture of front and back of the box and emailing them to me at admin@netwave.redirectme.net just to confirm this is the original DBox
