hello, i am relatively new at this, but i havent run into many problems till now.
I use Memorex DVD+R's as my blank discs, i have a brand new Hp computer, and i have a phillips mx3900D reciever/5dvd player.
When i use smart ripper to extract the files from a dvd it works fine, i then take the VOB files and use nero to burn to memorex disc, when i try to play the finished product on my player, there is visual and audio for the first scene, then after that the audio cuts out. cant figure it out, if anyone could please help.

I've never used Smart Ripper myself, but I have a couple of suggestions for you:

Download DVD Shrink. It's a free program.
Then Burn with Nero

Or my personal choice:
DVD Decrypter to Rip (free)
DVD2one to compress (30 day trial)
Nero to burn.

Now I use RecordNow as my burning program, but others on this forum use Nero with success.

im sorry i meant to say i was using DVDshrink as my ripping program.
and then i have no sound when i use this program. also how can i get movies with more than 4.7GB of data to fit on one blank disc?
