Is it possible to put a 400 Watt Power Supply from a regular PC on the XBox? I'm actually thinking about putting my XBox into a regular PC Tower, and that is why I am asking. More than likely it would fry the XBox Hard Drive, but I'm just curious to know for sure. Thanks for any help that anyone can give me.

i'm looking to do the same thing.
(bought an xbox...think i was scammed...think the power supply is dead....thinking i can just switch it out with a regular power supply...all the connections look the same...but i'm not too sure)

why would it fry the HDD? is it not just a standard hard drive? with a standard power connection?

thanks for any info.

i had an extra xbox power cord laying around and when we ordered this recording thing for the tv it didn't come with a power cord but the port was the same as the xbox power cords so we used the power cord for that and we still use it today.

I don't think it will fry the HDD. The HDD is the same as a regular PC HDD. It's 160 GB that I put in there months ago. If anything, it might fry the motherboard. So could someone who actually knows what they are talking about give me some insight about this topic? Thanks in advance.
