PSP Firmware fix without bricking!!!???

I am looking for a firmware fix for my psp.
One that will not brick my psp.
I am using dev hook with henC on a 2.71 to emulate 1.5.
I am looking for a way to update but still be able to emulate 1.5.
is there A way to do so?
any progs, guaranteed not to brick my system?

Bricking is just when you screw up your psp past the point of repair usually. In most cases though you can buy a new motherboard the will fix your psp but it cost about $80 and may be difficult to install since you can to take your psp apart.

Todis u got 2.71 ?
if yes downgrade to 1.50
(or update to 2.71 SE-C (is risky from 2.71)
Then upgrade to 3.02 OE-A or OE-B

look for threads here in afterdawn , there is one well explained how to check if a psp is a ta-082
but now u can downgrade ta-082 but its fk*** risky

@Darxdog - are you sure that sig is quite big enough ?. Allowed sizes are in the Forum Rules in my sig

hey guys shouldnt we ans the main question of this thread which was asked by Kanthos!!!!well anyways!!!let me start lolz!!!wat do u mean by fireware fix??and as u have 2.71(as long as i know) u can downgrade ur psp to 1.5 (if mobo is TA-082 then use the specific one for TA-082{there is possibility of bricking if u dont know wat u doin with the dg})!after downgrading u can update to 3.02OE-B,after doin this u no more need to emulate 1.5 but play anything like a 1.5 psp!!!!!plse reply if u wanted to know something else!!!!!!

Jukedude.. pls help me too.. got 1.5 that i'm using with dev hook. Want to be able to play my umd's and games on mem card without keep having to downgrade and upgrade. Have been advised to go 3.02oe a then b. I have downloader both of these but the instructions are a little confusing to me... Where do i get the 1.50 and 3.02 sony updaters from that they ask you to put in the oeupdmaker file?

Flashing 3.02 OE
----------------
- Copy the directories 302oeflasher and 302oeflasher% to /PSP/GAME (or /PSP/GAME150 if you havent set your GAME folder to run 1.50 kernal)
- Run the flasher. If your battery is less than 75%, the program will show the error saying that
and will return to the XMB.
At petition of someone with battery problems, now this check can be by passed at your own risk;
Execute the program with triangle and L pressed.
- The program will continue showing an agreement. Press X to accept
it and flash the custom firm, or R to cancel and exit to the XMB.
- If you accept, the program will flash the custom firmware. DONT shutdown the psp and DON'T
quit the memory stick.
- After finished, shutdown the psp and restart manually... to 3.02 OE :)
- Restore Default Settings.
- Copy RECOVERY to /PSP/GAME (or /PSP/GAME150 if you havent set your GAME folder to run 1.50 kernal).
- Copy OEB_UPDATE to /PSP/GAME (or /PSP/GAME150 if you havent set your GAME folder to run 1.50 kernal). This update lets you run NTSC PS1 games.
JUST FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS

Grrr i can't find the 1.50 and 3.02 sony updaters to put in the file oeupdmaker. its the first part i'm stuck on.

UPDATERS?
you dont need them as long as you are running 1.5 you are fine you are using dark alex's 3.02 arent you ?
just copy the files over onto your stick
and then..
its done !

Well obviously it depends wot u do on it... I wanted to be able to play iso/cso's and umd without having to upgrade downgrade etc etc also depends on what firmware u have too and if its the dreaded ta-082 board!!
