PSP 1.5 (Jap or China)?

hi guys. i'm pondering getting a PSP 1.5. One's made in china and another is made in jap (slightly more expensive). Are there any difference between the 2? e.g quality etc. Thks

also, another question from this psp-to-be owner. It seems there is 2 ways i can get my psp to play isos?
1) update firmware to 3.02 OE-B
2) use emulator

what's the pros and cons of each option? at the moment, i feel emulator seems a better choice since i'm eliminating the risk of bricking my psp. correct me if i'm wrong though.

i would buy the cheapest system since there both the same just diffrent region wich will only effect the umd movie playback

not that it maters since u dont wanna use umd movies trust me they will blow out you umd laser

and o yeah make sure its a 1.50 or at least 2.80 non TA-082 and down that way u can downgrade

and your last question as all based on opinion and mine is get the OE-B trust me u will love it

thks lilfree. was reading more and more abt 1.5 stuff. It seems 3.02 OE-B is not a firmware but rather an application. That is, my PSP firmware is still categorically 1.5 rather than 3.02? is that correct?

actually, 3.02 is a custom firmware with a recovery feature and other stuff (recovery mode is used when your psp is SEMI-bricked, not sure how it works but it unbricks your psp)

if what your trying to say is if you get 3.02 oe-b your psp will still be 1.50? if so, no cause oe-b is a custom firmware.

Buy one that has a letter that is early in the alphabet. Before L preferably. Also, the Circle and the X buttons will have swapped functions (IE Cross to cancel, Circle to accept).

OE is a special firmware there for you can downgrade when every you want it even has recovery more just incase you brick your psp
