problem when downgrading from 2.0 to 1.5 !!!!!

Im following the mph downgrade process. Everything is fine until i go to the photo icon on the psp then the instructions say i should get a black screen with a few no.s on it. This doesnt happen it just freezes up as soon as i get to the photo icon, stays like this for 20s and just switches itself off?
Any ideas?

Unhook your battery for a little bit then try again, also make sure your battery is fully charged and your ac adapter is plugged in with no umd in the drive. make sure ALL OF YOUR FILES ARE IN THE CORRECT PLACE PLEASE

Yes all files are where they should be but one thing i will say is my ROOT file is called MP_ROOT. is this correct???

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, its a very simple mistake.
When they say the root of you memory stick, that means the very top of it, As in when you just open the drive (F: or G: or whatever drive your comp recognizes it as. )
MP_root is where you put video files( if i remember correctly), follow the guide and put every file where it needs to go.

just update to v 2.71
then use the easy downgrader
much safer

how can the 2.71 easy downdater be safer, the 2.00 mph downgrader uses the official 1.5 eboot to downgrade so it has a less chance of bricking

no you guys dont all understand, he was pointing out that instead of putting all necessary files (h.bin etc.) at the root of his memory stick, he was putting them in the MP_ROOT folder... for movies. Thus tiff overflow... with no stable execution
And make sure to download all files ONLY from trustworthy sites. Psp-hacks.com is good
Use the mph downgrader!!!
Edit: Format your card and start from scratch. Its best that way too

PSP Hacks has all the downgraders you want, auto installers at that, so you dont have to worry about where to put the files.
