Hi there!
Last year my X-Box (not 360) was hit by the lightning. I was sleeping and didn't notice the lightning outside.
When I woke up next day, I couldn't start up my console.
It was dead!

My friend sayd he could have his uncle to fix it for me.
Weeks later, he told me the X-Box couldn't be fixed.
He didn't give me the X-Box back. He said since it couldn't be fixed anyway, he had dumped it.

One year later, (last week) he got an X-Box from his uncle! It looked just like MY old X-Box.
That's weird. His uncle is a rich guy. He is a director of medicine.
So why didn't the uncle buy an X-Box 360 instead of "buying" an old one?

1) What do you think? Is that MY X-Box or what?
2) If it was hit by the lightning, is it possible to fix it or is it dead?

Cheers

I don't think anyone can answer your questions because it depends what damage was done to it and nobody knows the character (or lack thereof) of your friend. A friend who steals from you sure as hell is no friend though.

no of course not, that's awful about something being stolen, it was just the wording in your post.

as to the lightning, it may well have fried your console however your 'friend' had no business 'dumping' the console without asking you first.

But Merry Christmas anyway, hopefully you'll solve the mystery and either get your console back (it's he's a decent friend and it was in fact your own console) otherwise you'll find new decent friends if he did in fact tea-leaf it..

Yeah, it's awful. Really. I didn't say anythin wrong in the post. What's so fun with my wording?

I didn't say my friend DID stole my console. I said i THINK he stole it.

I will check this someday. When the console was still mine, I wrote my name under the console. (wrote it under the stickies) I'm gonna check it someday!

Goodnight!

You could do what I did with my 360 (and my regular XBox) and take pictures of the serial number as well as write it down and store it in a safe place.

I personally took a picture of my 360 as the box has a flap on it that you open and can see your serial. I took a picture of that as well as a picture of it out of the box. That way if it gets stolen I have proof that the 360 is mine based on the serial number.

Peace

You could also write your serial number down somewhere and keep it safe, and if you happen to be in a situation like Dinner one day, you can just check the serial numbers :), I'm going to do that, thanks for giving me the idea of keeping identification for an Xbox safe somewhere Dinner, it's a smart good idea.
