I searched this site and googled it but can not seem to find it. A friend said that certian ps2 games can be played on HD. Any truth to that? If so what games and are there any cables that are needed? Any settings I have to do? My first LCD HDTV comes in tomorrow. I am playing FFXII and was wondering. Thanks.

PlayStation 2 is capable of 480p, 720p, and 1080i with games that support those resolutions; a PS2 Component Cable is required. Many PS2 games support 480p and 16:9 and a handful support HD resolution at 720p. I have Grand Turismo 4 and it is one of the few, maybe only, PS2 games that supports 1080i. Wikipedia has a list of PS2 games in a table that describes which resolutions they are capable of.

Same here I think mine are silver though I couldn't find gold ones for a reasonable price. Still good with my HDTV.

Same price as my silver ... I live in the UK, didn't really find a gold for a good price so I settled for 2nd best.
