Quick question I hope someone can answer for me: if I choose to browse the internet using my PSP's web browser running in devhook 0.51 emulating FW 3.01, will my PSP be automatically updated to the latest FW? I would really hate for that to happen, hence why I haven't been online with it yet.

I'm assuming it won't as I'm sure lots of you guys who still haven't moved on past emulating FW 2.71.

Any help appreciated. Cheers

browsing the web will not auto update ur firmware.. u have to go to settings/update firmware to do that

so yea u dont need to worry about updating if ur just browsing the web, but if u choose to use the auto update firmware option i believe it would upgrade because the latest firmware is 3.03

Ah excellent, that's good news. Still haven't tried yet (will soon).

When you say turn 'auto-update' on, how do you mean? Where is the option for this found? There's nothing under security settings or anything like that, does it ask when I set up a connection?

the update option is found under settings and then "update" or something like that.. if i remember correctly its rite above usb connection
