i have already done this downgrade on my ta-082 fw 2.71 psp and now i am back up and 2.71 hend with devhook and in devhook i can emulate 3.02 to do that i dumped the files from the downgrade is that what i need to go to th oe firmware???

so i got a psp with ta-82 2.71... and i was wonder if i want to be able to play backups from the mem stick should i down grade to 1.5 or down grade then up to 3.03e? then what program do i need to play them? the back ups

Downgrade and up, Best choice cause then you don't need to run the program Devhook over and over agian to play an ISO or Back up.
2.6 > 2.71 = 1.5 - 3.02> MY TA-082 MOBO 1.5> 3.02 OE-A > OE-B > 3.10 OE-A > 3.82 M33
3 Days, I advanced from 2.6 homebrew tetris and commercial UMDs to 2.71 Devhook Emulation to 1.5>3.02 OE-A, Its the golden age of hacking

is there anyway to get your psp back to its orignal firmware if not is there anything to emulate the 1.5 fw so i can just play homebrew then delete it??

i installed 2.71 and it says on da umd fing 1c9001 but when i run dark alexs guide and the part where you run the idstoragechange it says PSP doesn't seem to be a TA-082. why? when 1c9001 is capable.

hey
if u use dark alexs guide den all u have to do is update to v 2.71 and run da hend file n only the UPDATEX.YZ not idstoragechange

I would not know, i have never upgraded or downgraded anytign except a TA-082, but im sure there is a guide on how to do that here somewhere on teh forums.

hi, umm just wondering but in step 5 when you load HEND is it suppose to go to a blue screen then the green one cause it will only go into the blue one and turn off my psp ? anythoughts

great guide! got 2 ta82 fw 2.71 successfully downgraded following your guide! and both running 3.03OE-B!!!
question: i have some psx rom already converted to eboot.pbp format, how do i run them on the 3.03 OE-B? also, if i'm going to use other emulators on the 3.03 OE-B (like GBA, NES, or SNES etc), what do i need to do?

I tried this guide but when I loaded HEND, it just froze there. PSP not bricked though.
#1 I downloaded the file and extracted it.
#2 I installed it to my desktop. [I thought about installing into my E: but I will end up with 2 PSP folders (so I knew it wont work), Then I opened the existing PSP folder and installed to there (but that means I will have a PSP folder in a PSP folder/no work). So I thought it was best to install to the desktop and drop the folders in manually].
#3 I opened the installed PSP folder and inside was 'Game' and 'Photo'.
#4 The rest I will show in pictures. Too lazy to type out.

Sorry for DP but I accidentally clicked on post instead of preview.
As I was saying, I did those things, went onto my PSP, went to Photo-HEND. After that, it froze just when the folder was opening.
Did i do something wrong here. I bet its the part where I put the folders in manually.

Sounds like a tif overflow exploit to me, mate. I think that's the effect you were after. Now for the downgrade.
