xbox live problemmmm :(

so yeah i ran all of my xbox live tests everything is running fine i can even download demos/anything from marketplace but for some reason i cant connect to any games. i try to join a game on GoW and it says sorry we couldnt find a game for you blah blah do you want to host one blah. oh yeah it wont even let me host a game and while im connected to xbox live i cant even play single player but when i disconnect it works. could it be possible i downloaded a bad xbox live update? someone help me please -.-

OK CHECK TO MAKE SURE THAT GOW IS LIVE COMPATIBLE IF NOT THERS YOUR PROB, IF IT IS COMPATIBLE THAN IM SCRATCHING MY HEAD TOO

P.S,IS SHOULD SAY ON THE CASE IN THE BACK NEAR THE BOTTOM IT IT IS COMPATIBLE
