Ok, I bought my psp a few months back, used. When i bought it, the FW was 2.50, I sucessfully downgraded to 1.5 and then upgraded it to 2.71 SE-B". For a while i was happy with it, i used ISO's and homebrews and they worked fine. Last night however, i downloaded Portable Ops, and it didn't work like the other ISO's and CSO's did, so i was searching the web to see if other people had the same problem, and all of the people who used 2.71 SE-B" said that they got it to work by upgrading to 2.71 SE-C and using DevHook 0.51 and emulating 3.01. So i downloaded Devhook, found a tutorial to use it and install the FW's. and everything was going fine. But when i attempted to emulate 3.01, when it booted it would give me that "System falure, press O for recovery" screen that says it in many laugages, and when I pressed O, it would say it again. so i choose "Escape the Devhook" optoin to attemtp to get out of it, and when my psp booted up, it said my Firmware was 2.71, but all of the options on my psp were for 3.01 (like camera, Remote Play, Certificate Utility, exc.)

I tried downgrading to 1.5 (since it says 2.71, i thought it would be easy) but it wouldn't let me access any of the .Tiff files in the Image folder (it would show them as Corrupt data) so i figured i'd upgrade to 2.80 and wait for a downgrader to come out, but it wouldn't let me run the EBOOT.PBP (it would do the PSP logo, like it was working, then shut itself off.) So i said fuck it and tried playing Street Fighter alpha 3 (i bought it legit) and it would do the psp logo, but no sound, then auto shut off.

the ONLY thing i can do with my psp now is look at pictures, watch videos, and listen to music. Basicly anything in the main menu, if it left the menu, it would shut off, or say it cant load it.

Is my psp screwed? or is there a way to fix it. plz help!

Try updating it or reseting the default settings, other then that I'm of not other use and advice.

2.6 > 2.71 = 1.5 - 3.02> MY TA-082 MOBO 1.5> 3.02 OE-A > OE-B > 3.10 OE-A > 3.82 M33
3 Days, I advanced from 2.6 homebrew tetris and commercial UMDs to 2.71 Devhook Emulation to 1.5>3.02 OE-A, Its the golden age of hacking

i THINK the problem might be the flash... maybe the problem is that when i tried to emulate 3.01, the flash f-ed up and mixed the two up, that MIGHT be why it says 2.71 on system info, but all of the menus are for 3.01... if thats the case, is there any way to manually change the Flash?

its great you can access the recovery screen, eneble usb, then put the official 1.5 EBOOT in the recovery folder, rename the eboot as UPDATE.PBP. then go to the run program at ms0/PSP/GAME/RECOVERY/EBOOT.PBP.

this will take you back to 1.5, then you can upgrade to se-c or 3.02 oe-a, whatever you want

but since u tried downgrading it while 3.01.. i think its brick

well, it SAYS 2.71, but i have the Camera options, and Remote play, and all the other 3.01 options. i didn't have a RECOVERY folder in my GAME folder, so i made it and put the EBOOT.PBP in it, i renamed it to UPDATE, and that didn't work, so i Re-Renamed it to EBOOT and that didn't work either.(I assumed it would run off of the GAME, not GAME150.)

ok i know where you're going wrong
go to - http://dl.qj.net/2.71-SE-C-Custom-Firmwa...11447/catid/114
download SE-C, unzip it, there will be a folder called flasher for recovery, inside that a folder called RECOVERY copy that to your GAME folder and put the 1.5 eboot renamed as UPDATE.PBP, then run it
