i know there are other similar titles but cantr find muchelse suitable.
my xbox has been on for 10hours (i know thats not good), and just now tried going to xboxlive with Gears of War. when i try joining a game its says no matches found which i know is impossible. so then i try hosting my own match. i set all the game setting and press "A". and it goes to the loading screen and IMMEDIATELY returns to the game settings menu. i have the exact same problem g.r.A.W.
i know it might just be a case of leavoing the console on to long, and my game discs arent scratched, but is this serious?

ya also people's xbox 360's arent reading the gears of war disk right. they get like a disk reading error. i think microsoft just really screwed up making this game.. even though it was good for the hour i played it.

unplug your ethernet cable from your xbox, or take out your wireless. which ever you have, disconnect it for now i guess. i did that and my campaign is working perfectly. :)

well, a cooler doesnt really do anything. it basically just blows hot air out. my advice is just to leave the console flat and not standing up. the console shouldnt be on that long, but as long as you dont do it that often. i went to get an intercooler also recently, i was told the exact same thing i was thinking. the intercooler is just louder and blows hot air, so i wouldnt get it. but i might be wrong (feel free to correct me).

I always turn mine off (the 360) for 15mins every two hours, just to be safe.
I have left it on for longer but only for sizeable downloads from live.
Like trigger said, avoid it if you can, better safe than sorry.
And as for the cooler, I wouldn't bother. Air that is moving is being cooled, but not by much, especially with that particular one. Although it would be interesting to properly test it with temp gauges and see how effective it actually is.
