PSP with Firmware 2.81 and 3.03

Well here is another newbie, I bought PSP for my son and myself. I stupidly updgraded mine to 3.03, His is still 2.81; Can I able to play ISO PSP games in his one? And I was searching through this form, I could not figure exactly what is devhook for?. I believe there is nothing I can do for 3.03 for the time being. Thanks

Am waiting for one because i bought the woman a pink PSP for christmas and its 2.81 (TA-082).

I just want to encourage all nice hackers out there working hard to make version 3.03 an ISO reality for the rest of us morrons who don't know how to do anything but use a torrent site to enjoy your tremendous ammount of free work.

And also, I have a 3.03 upgrade... how can I tell what chipset I'm running? (TA-??)

And lastly, so I know I can't play ISO games with this upgrade (YET!) but I wonder if I can burn DVDs into my memory stick and just have a couple on there in case I go on a trip.
Without having to buy this (RIPOFF!) umd disk of something I already own. :) (or download)
