Hi
I have a PSP1003 that was running 2.6 it is not a TA082 I have confirmed by checking for writing.
My son upgraded it to 2.7 in order to downgrade it to 1.5.
The upgrade went ok but the downgrade appears to have bricked the machine.
The green light comes on for about 10 secs and the screen stays blank then it turns itself off.
Can i do anything to sort this out.
Can anyone help, I've only used the thing once!

Hi
He was using a file called EBOOT.PBP to upgrade to 2.71 and then a folder called downdater271 I'm afraid that is all I know at the moment.
Cheers

I have borrowed a psp from a friend to downgrade for him. This is not my first time downgrading, i downgraded a 2.00 psp to 1.5 b4, and recently jsut downgraded MY 2.71 TA-082 to 1.5, so naturally i thought following the steps would bring me to another successfull downgrade. But unfortunately... this downgrade didint turn out too well.
http://www.psp-vault.com/Article800.psp
that is the guide i used. I unpacked the easy loader to my psp and ran the eloader, and ran the Patch SFO. After pressing circle to patch my memory stick, ther ewas an error, and said i have to press the power off button to exit...so i did... and my psp screen has been black since. I am trying your technique at the moment, taking out the battery umd and ms, Pray to god this will work. Wht is up with this anyways?
