hello, i recently ripped an ISO from my tony hawk project 8 game and compressed it to a CSO but its still 1.19 GB in size. is there a way to make it smaller but still have all the faetures of the game?

i heard you could remove unnecessary files from the ISO. is that true?

lol. thats what i used to compress it to the CSO. is there anyway to make it smaller than 1.19 GB? like removing the update or something?

compress the iso to cso it makes the iso 3times smaller

its alrady a CSO and it doesnt make all ISO files 3 time smaller. only certain ones. is there a way to make the CSO even smaller?

open the iso with WinRAR, then delete the update folder.. u wont need those

well u have to have the original iso file u ripped...
and then open it with WinRAR

there are often huge dummy files in the umd to force the real files onto the edge of the umd where it spins the fastest. but i cant remember exactly where they are. mayb other ppl here can help u, or u can do some research on google =)

thanks. but what i mean is, when i open the ISO file, and delete the update folder, how do i get it back to an ISO so i can compress it? or does the original ISO delete the update files also?

oh yea u use a ultility called UMDgen to put the iso back together. sorry its been a while since ive done this so i dont really remember much.
