Hi i just got a 2.60 TA-082 i have read that there is now a downgrader for 2.71>1.5>3.02 oe-b
But i have a 2.60, does that mean i need to upgrade to 2.71 from Sony web site then to downgrade it to 1.5 then to 3.02 oe-b ?
Also if you could provide a link that is very easy to follow and use to do this would greatly appretiate it thanks guys.

OK I just got my PSP fully 100% charged now i dont want to brick my PSP so i just wanna clarify some thigns, do i need to have Devhook or HEND already installed on my PSP? Soryy im a newbue :)

no u do not. all you need is to update your psp to fw 2.71 then downgrade it to fw 1.5

OK I just got my PSP fully 100% charged now i dont want to brick my PSP so i just wanna clarify some thigns, do i need to have Devhook or HEND already installed on my PSP? aalso it says to "4.run the installer and it will install everything on to your MS including HEND." i ran it but nothing went to my memory stick.

the easy installer installs HEND for u so u dont need to worry about that..
note: i've never done downgrade process (altho ive used other downdaters) so i might not know whats im talking about... dont listen to me if u dont want to ;D
Edit: did u select ur memory stick when u used the installer?

If you want to do this manually, I've just uploaded a video of how to do it on a psp, I screwed up a transition though so don't mind where it askes you to run hend or something.
I'll give you the link when its up if you still need it.

Well i tried the easy installer first and i guess i bricked my psp. the only thing that is happening is the green power button is on. SO what do i now?

r u serious? the easy installer is foolproof......
try holding power button for 10s see if it shuts down, if that doesnt work remove battery

Yea i held down power it shut off pressed power button only thing is that the power light is green and the screen is black

1. download the easy installer:
INSTALLER
2. extract archive.
You will get these files....
2.71_TA-082_-_1.50.exe
README_DE
README_ENG_ORIGINAL_DARK_ALEX
TA-082_Downgrader.pngfile.
3. format Memory Stick and restore the psp to defualt settings.
4.run the installer and it will install everything on to your MS including HEND.
5. When it's done installing Start the psp and go to pictures and load HEND ---> IT MAY NOT load the first time so restart and try again. Make sure you have no UMD inserted when doing this!
6. Once its loaded (the psp will restart automaticly --> this means it loaded HEND) go to GAME in the XMB and load/start idstoragechange.
(this program just changes some keys ^^)
7. Once this program is done and loads your XMB again, go back to the GAME menu an dyou will see your Generic downgrader called "Update X.YX"
Load/start this.
8.This will now insatll the 1.5 FW onto your psp. when its doen it sould ask you to press "x" were it will restart the psp an dyou will get a BSOD.
Simple press "o"

does the OE-A recovery work with 1.5?
Or try taking out the battery or so

Yeah what did you do? You must have made a mistake somewhere cus I downgraded mine and I reread every part 5 times and re checked. Plus, I used 3 different guides to make me understand more. You may have a brick there my friend. :(

I tried to take out the battery. reinserted all thaat is happeneign is green power button. Black screen. I just got it today, gonna see if i can return it.

Everything seemed to go fine. Got to where it said press X to resart it did, and black screen. I dunno i followed directions this sucks man. Im gonna see fi i can exchange it or soemthign maybe have to buy another >< got this 1 for Christmas.

Lol, take out the memory stick and go to your nearby sony store with the reciept or something to prove you still have a warranty on it and say you were updating and something went wrong and it wouldn't turn on agian.

Got it from Wal-Mart do you think i can return it there? shoudl i out the 1gig stick back in it? came with the value pack.

Tough luck dude :( I hope that won't make you stay at 2.71 and HEND for your replacement TA-082 :(
I followed 3 diffrent guides and I took a total of 3 hours to DW from 2.71 to 1.50 and up to 3.02 OE-A/B
