well i got it exchanged at wal-mart and she took my mem card from the new psp lol o well, now to try one more time. Got another 2.60 2x is the charm i hope lol.

Sweet, it works, I was just suggesting too, wowzers, do it manually it works better cause its harder work.

Hi Guys,
I need your help cause i don't want to brick my psp and i have no room for mistake. I have a 2.60 TA-082 (IC1003 inside the UMD).
Like you are suggesting that the downgrade will work if I do it manually. So to do this I need to follow the video in YouTube that have a part one and part two from what is posted in this forum?
I really appreciate your kindness.

I upgrade the my psp from 2.60 to 2.71 and downgrade it to 1.5. Just following the video in YouTube. Now that I'm in 1.5 I still not able to run the downloaded game that I have (Mortal Kombat Special Forces). Kindly let me know what else do I need.

I'm confused. Now that I'm in 1.5 you say that I need to skip the upgrade 3.02 OE-A?
But based on the flow 1.5 -> 3.02 OE-A -> 3.02 OE-B -> 3.03 OE-A -> 3.03 OE-B
Please verify.

You dont HAVE to go thru all of that, if you just want 3.03 oe, then just install 3.03 oe-a w/o 3.02 oe.

Now I had ia 3.02 oe-b, is it safe to use this. But when I tried to use the EBOOT game that I downloaded it just stop like Metal Gear (looking for Disc1) and Mortal Kombat Special Forces.
I've been doing the downgrade and upgrade and didn't find any game to play yet.
Please help.

Yea no problem. When you get your game all you need to do is extract it and put those files on the root of your memory stick in the folder called ISO
so should look like..
X:\ISO\Nameofyourgame

i already download the iso file in iso folder but is not starting. do i need to change any configurations? the iso game that i have is nba live 07 and it hung!
Also would you know what other type of game can i use with 3.03 eob?

I just did everything as told and even wactched the videos to make sure I was doing it right and I keep coming to the same conclusion:
When running the Update X.YZ, I get a screen that simply stays on "Extracting special prx's from pbp..." The only way to rid the screen is to restart the PSP. I used the easy installer, and the UPDATE.PBP file is infact the 1.5 fw (tried it the "hard way" first so I downloaded the 1.5 eboot) but I have had no such luck getting past this. The PSP itself is a 2.5 factory TA-82 but I just upgraded to 2.71 and used Hen-D figuring it would work. Any suggestions?

alright you are on 2.71 right now? ok, THis is what i would do, completely reformat your Memstick, reset you rpsp back to its default setting. And redo everything following teh stepps exaclty. and you are sure you have a TA-082 motherbaord?

I already reformated twice and tried it. No luck. Yeah, the motherboard is a TA-82. When I open the UMD drive it has the "IC1003" inside. Like I said, it came as a 2.5 and I just updated to 2.71 inorder to downgrade successfully. I have a 1.5 myself so I know what to do from there. This one is my friends and I'm trying to help him get to 1.5. (Actually, while I'm at it, is there a working PSX emu for 1.5? Or do I need 3.03 O-B?)
Edit: When I tried to run storagechange, it says that the process has already been done to the PSP. Of course, I've been running it with Hen-D.

Well if you want you can add me to MSN i have all the orignal stuff i used to downgrade from 2.71 on teh 1.5 emualtion i dunno, butjsut upgrade all the to 3.03 OE-C adn its already there you can emualte psx games.
