anyway heres my question(s):
I have psp with 2.60 firmware and i wanna install devhook in order to play homebrew & iso games.. so my question is do i have FIRST downgrade my psp to 1.50 in order to install Devhook?

yes, u MUST FIRST downdate ur psp to 1.5 to install devhook.. as for the version of of devhook, go with the newest... which is 0.52
or u can use the custom FW3.02OE which allow u to play psx games as well

fella thanks for all the help so far..
instead of making mad threads imma direct all of my questions right here and my next question is:
once i downgrade to 1.50 and have devhook install and my iso games ready to go.. how do i switch back to 2.60 which is needed for me to play my UMD games that i have? will i still be able to play UMD/store brought games?
next thing can some point me to a downgrader that actually works..which one should i got for my 2.60 psp.. i hear it's risky and can mess up your psp, so what is the one downgrader that is guaranteed to work?
keep in mind i need to downgrade from 2.60 to 1.50
thanks for the help

i forgot to mention something..
is it true that you need GTA:Liberty Stories in order to complete the downgrade process? because i dont have that game. I've seen video tutorials on downgrading and everybody was using GTA:Liberty stories when they were downgrading there psp..please dont tell me that is a requirement

It was, but its not anymore, just look for ones that don't, not really descriptive because my psp was a TA-082 and thats the only type of psp I've ever downdated
Also just update to 3.02 OE-B , this allows you to have internet and all the functions of 3.02 and it also allows you to play isos like 1.5 without the use of devhook. It also lets you play commercial UMDs that are below 3.02
If you don't want to downgrade to 1.5 because of the risk of bricking, then you should update to 2.71 which can also use devhook and emulate versions 1.5 to 3.02 I think, to play ISOs.
2.6 > 2.71 = 1.5 - 3.02> MY TA-082 MOBO 1.5> 3.02 OE-A > OE-B > 3.10 OE-A > 3.82 M33
3 Days, I advanced from 2.6 homebrew tetris and commercial UMDs to 2.71 Devhook Emulation to 1.5>3.02 OE-A, Its the golden age of hacking

Don't know about the lastest version but devhook 4.7 worked for me just a couple of days ago and I don't quite understand your first question.

you said i can do that instead of the risk of downgrading to 1.50, right? or are they both just as risky?
