ok got my ass kicked last post removed caps lock and added more detail on my problem , porblem is i have a jap 1.5 psp.. currently using fastloader for games that came with it.. they all worked fine that came with it when i bought it.. i wanted to play some new 1s.. got the new games( wont load through fastloader?) i thought they would work being in iso format guess not!

the new ones came with devhook 0.46 with them so bought a new 2 g mem card put the devhook on loaded it on my psp all ok.. set settins to
--- umd mount / iso any umd---
--- umd version 2xxx-- 2.00---
---firmware 2.71 ---
--- clock 222mhz/111mhz---
---boot select reboot xmb ---

then went to --select umd-- went to play game -nfs carbon- and it wont load (no pic of a umd in the game drop down menu or in the movie menu on the screen) all that comes on is a message
--this disc cannot be started -the region code is not correct---

the umd inside is a uk region 2

when you exit this screen the psp is now running in 2.71 and will not recognise any umd i have( all uk ones) dont have any others.

so first question,is it cos its a jap psp and i am running a uk umd?

then i tried messing with the previous settings from start of post set them to
---umd mount - noumd 1.50--- set this to try to skip the umd problem
---firmware 1.50 ---
then loaded the same game( without a umd in) a picture of a umd appears in the game drop down menu. go down to the umd and a pic of the game is on the screen but when you try to boot the game it it gives the following message
--to start you must update the system software.--- but if i update it to 2.71 as before it wont recognise the umd in the drive (even in the movie menu)
all my games are lent out so only have movie umds to try could this be the problem? should i be using a game umd???

but to add to the confusion i also have another game atv offroad fury
which will work on the settings for --noumd -- in the 1.5 firmware this appears in the game menu as a umd with the pic and opens with out the umd and the game boots??

baffled?? as i am very new to this
thanks to anyone who offers advice
