I've been reading alot about downgrading the PSP 1.5+ firmwares to 1.5. I'm a modder and I just recently purchased a PSP 2.81 and I've been doing alot of research lately but no solid answer. Whats totally the purpose of downgrade the PSP to 1.5 and what exactly are the advantages of doing so???

you can't lol
2.81 downgrader is not out... as far as i know..
and the purpose of downgrading to 1.50 is so that u can run homebrew applications...
and u with 1.50 u can use custom firmware called 3.02 oe-b which runs iso files off memory sticks...and emulate playstation 1 games

Okay I see that 2.81 downgrade is in the works...However is 1.50 installed first than the custom firmware called 3.02 oe-b or how exactly if both are installed??? Im asking because Im going to go look for a earlier version PSP.

hm..
so...lets say i have 2.71 fw...
i DOWNGRADE to 1.50
on 1.50 u can run homebrew applications such as devhook, snes emulator, and gba emulator (devhook allows u to emulate any firmware u want...plus u can run backup copies of the game u purchased - iso files)

Okay so I exchanged my PSP 2.8 to a 2.71 TA-082. I've been reading several tutorials so Im ready to downgrade to a 1.5. Where it says to run the installer and it will install everything on to the MS, is that the same as the letter drive that comes up in My Computer? Just install the files in that Drive letter?

Okay I have completed the process so I've successfully downgrade my PSP from 2.71 TA-082 to 1.50. Now I have alittle more questions.

With having only 1.50 Firmware, does the PSP play .Iso or is 3.02OE-B needed? Do I have to install OE-A first before OE-B or can I just install OE-B on top of the 1.50 Firmware

Whats the difference in 3.02OE-A and 3.02OE-B?

3.02 OE-B can play ps1 isos. thats the only difference
